"THE LADY IN WHITE" (versión en ingles)

Legend has it that at night, a person invariably a man sees a woman dressed in white outfits disoriented wandering down the street, visibly distraught. "LA DAMA DE BLANCO"

Cuenta la leyenda que por la noche, una persona, invariablemente un 
hombre, ve a una mujer vestida con atuendos de color blanco que deambulaba

desorientada por la calle, visiblemente angustiada. Si el hombre no se acerca 
a preguntarle por sus tribulaciones , ella irá directamente hacia él y lo 
abordará, diciéndole que se ha perdido y rogándole que la ayude a regresar a 
su hogar. Si el hombre se niega presentando una excusa, la mujer le dedicará 
una mirada de rencor y lo dejará partir, pero las consecuencias serán 
funestas (volveremos sobre ello más tarde). Si por el contrario, el hombre 
decide auxiliaria, la mujer le indicará una dirección y le dirá que debe 
apurarse pues su familia está esperándola con ansiedad. En automóvil o a 
pie, inician el viaje.

La mujer nunca revela donde vive, sino que va dando al hombre indicaciones 
que acaban por desorientarlo a él tambien. Cuando finalmente,tras horas de
 vagabundeo, el hombre está a punto de rendirse y de decidir a la mujer que no 
puede ayudarla, ella lanza un grito de alivio, besa a su salvador y anuncia que 
han llegado al destino, que su casa está sólo a unos metros más allá. Baja del 
autómovil y se aleja, o si han marchado a pie, huye corriendo.  Si el hombre 
intenta seguirla, nunca la encontrará; sólo  podrá advertir, alborotado, que se 
halla en las cercanias de un cementerio. Quienes han tratado de averiguar 
la identidad de la mujer, o de volver a verla caminando por las mismas calles en 
donde la encontraron, nada ganan. Nunca más volverán a verla. Hay quienes 
arguyen que han existido personas que se han enamorado en una noche de la 
dama de blanco y que han perdido, al no ser capaces de reencontrarla, cierta 
alegría de vivir. Es inútil, la dama de blanco sólo aparece una vez en la vida, 
si es que lo hace.
